We test tags
To find the optimal solution for a given task, we continuously test new types of tags. Right now, we are working with ultra-compact tags in sizes 1-4 mm, which are particularly suitable for mounting on or between metal.
We believe that performance can only be assessed in practice, which is why we test tags on different metal objects: laundry cages, IBC tanks with metal grids, pallets and air freight pallets and containers (ULD). Identifying which tags perform best under which conditions is always done in close collaboration with both roofing specialists and our own technicians. Currently we focus on passive RFID tags, but we have extensive experience with the full spectrum: active RFID tags, BLE, Sigfox, GSM-based solutions, WiFi and GPS.
Tags are used to optimize logistics processes, and with modern, multifunctional and intelligent tags, many more challenges can be solved – often with very little technology.
Our methodology: from analysis to full-scale testing in logistics environments
When choosing the right tag technology for a logistics setup, we follow a methodology that combines technical analysis, practical tests and integration with external systems.
First, we analyze the logistical processes: how assets move, what touchpoints exist, what materials are used, and what data the company needs to collect and automate.
We then select possible technologies – typically a combination of passive RFID, BLE beacons, LoRaWAN or robust on-metal solutions.
Then we conduct field tests where we measure reading distances, metal interference, sensitivity, stability over time and performance in motion or shock.
We test not only in controlled environments, but also in the real logistical environments where tags need to work: in the warehouse, on ramps, in production, in terminals and in airside operations. Experience shows that small variations in placement, substrate or shielding can have a big impact, which is why we work very practically and iteratively. This structured approach ensures that we can quickly select the most suitable technology and purposefully optimize the solution that provides the most value.

Experience in logistics, production and air cargo – from ULD tracking to internal transportation
Over the years, we have built up extensive experience with tag tracking solutions across logistics and asset management, especially air cargo.
In air freight operations we have worked with ULD tracking, where both metal pallets (PMC, PAG, PLA etc.) and containers (AKE, AMX, DPE etc.) require solutions that can function under vibration, temperature fluctuations and close contact with metal, and rough material handling.
In production and internal logistics, we implement solutions for tracking wash cages, tools, containers, flower containers and pallets, where the need is typically to create an overview, reduce waste time and ensure full documentation.
This breadth of experience means we can quickly identify known issues such as metal interference, blind spots in reading regions or attachment method requirements.
At the same time, we know which technologies work best for event detection, automatic status updates or real-time localization.
Experience from different industries enables us to transfer best practices from one industry to another – creating solutions that are robust, scalable and adapted to specific operational needs.
System integration: from scanning to automated workflows and reporting
Choosing the right roof is only one part of the solution – just as important is the integration into digital systems.
We work closely with the customer’s ERP, TMS or WMS solutions to ensure that data can automatically support the desired processes, from automatically checking in goods, registering ULD movements, managing warehouse locations, activating picking processes or documenting dispatch via driver apps.
Connecting roof readers with platforms like STRA.com creates a seamless flow where data flows automatically – or with manual scans, without paper and without the risk of incorrect registrations.
We design workflows where tag IDs are attached to orders, routes, containers or inventory items to provide a simple and intuitive user experience for customer employees.
Advanced features such as event alerts, real-time reporting, IoT sensor integration and automatic audit logs make the solution ideal for companies with high demands on traceability, quality, compliance and documentation.

Why choose tags in logistics processes?
Tags make logistics processes faster, more accurate and far more transparent.
Tags work on pallets, containers, IBC tanks, ULDs, wash cages or tools.
Record movements, locations and events.
Reduce errors, minimize wasted time and record data correctly every time.
Which roofs should I choose?
No one!
